
Ray and Evelyn Lippelmann Teacher Award
Has a teacher touched your life? Do you know a teacher who has been a
great influence on students? Anyone may nominate a teacher for the Ray
and Evelyn Lippelmann Outstanding Teacher Award. This is a financial
award that is presented annually to a USD #405 – Lyons teacher who has
demonstrated excellence in the teaching profession.
Previous winners from the past five years who are not eligible for the 2021-
22 year are: Debra Dumler, Amanda Dawson, BJ Smith, Brian Friess and
Trisha Stover.
Please send your nominations to Jessica Goforth at the Frisbie Education
Center (800 South Workman) or jgoforth@usd405.com no later than March
9. Nominees will be evaluated by Wichita State University.

Reminder: The "Finally Freshmen" event for 8th grade students and their adults will still be held as scheduled tonight(Monday) from 6:30-8:30pm. This event starts in the LHS auditorium. We are excited to see you there!

Reminder: Seniors, on March 8th, during SAFARI, Mike Danner will be here to sell you your cap and gown. It is $35 in cash or in a check made out to Balfour. He can not take a check made out to LHS. If you bring cash, it must be in exact cash. No cash app or Venmo.


Junior and Senior parent and student reminders:
1) Very important After Prom meeting will be on Thursday, March 10th at 6:30 in the LHS Cafeteria.
2) All juniors and seniors attending after prom need please bring a bag of candy to stuff Easter Eggs for our Egg your Yard Fundraiser(bring to school or meeting on Thursday)
3) All JR and SR parents that want an After Prom shirt please let Trisha Stover know ASAP. It will be $15.00. Orders have to be turned in Thursday, March 10th.

8th grade students and parents: You're invited! Please come with your completed course request form as we will have individual scheduling meetings to submit final course requests for next year.
There will also be student and staff panels to answer all your questions. Students will receive a tour of the school and a pathway refresher and end with snacks and a club fair! We can't wait to see you there!


Parent Reminder: There will be a 1/2 day of school for all Lyons Schools on Friday, March 11. School will start at 8:00 AM (not the regular 9:00 AM Fridays) and dismiss at 11:30 AM. Lunch will be served.
