Lyons High School Parent Camp
DATE: Tuesday, August 17
TIME: 6:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Lyons High School
Come enjoy snacks, browse our club/activity offerings, and learn important information for the school year.
School starts this week for all Lyons Schools. Please remember to:
1) Stop when the school bus stop sign is out, this includes on-coming traffic.
2) Slow down to 20 mph at all school crosswalks when lights are flashing. Also be aware there are three appointed crossings of the major highways at Park School, on Grand Ave/Washington and W. Main north of Central School.
3) Be on the lookout for students riding bikes, walking to school, or playing on the playgroud. You never know when they might dart out into the street.
4) Please be patient at school drop-offs and pick-up zones.
5) HS and MS parents please pick up your students in the main parking lot east of the high school. Please avoid using the circle drive as much as possible so students can exit the building safely and buses can pick-up students.

Attached is the Safe Return to In-Person Learning Plan adopted by the Board of Education. The flowchart to guide decision making for staying in school despite being a close contact of a person diagnosed with COVID is Appendix A. Appendix B is the gating criteria that will be used to determine when the board will meet to decide whether to require masks.
LATE START FRIDAYS
Teacher PLC learning times will be on Friday mornings this year. School will start at 9:00 AM on all Fridays. Buses will run one hour later on Fridays to accommodate this 9:00 AM start time.
By federal order (not guidance), all riders and drivers in school vehicles must wear a mask while in the vehicle unless the driver is the only person in the vehicle.
Fall Sports Parent Meeting Thursday, August 12th at 6:30 pm in the HS Auditorium for all HS and MS parents.

IC Parent Portal Update: New Payment Processing Vendor
Dear Parent,
On March 8, 2021, Infinite Campus announced it is switching payment processors for all online payment functions in the Campus Portal. We have chosen to make the switch on 07/05/2021. This will have minimal impact to you. However, any payment methods you’ve set up for your credit cards or eCheck accounts will be deleted to ensure the security and confidentiality of your data. After we make the switch, you will be asked to enter your payment methods into the Parent Portal.
Any Recurring Payments you may have set up (if you intend to continue making payments this way), will also need to be updated to use the new payment methods you create. There are no other changes in the way you will experience online payments. The instructions below will walk you through the process of setting up your payment methods and updating you recurring payments.
This change will improve financial reporting efficiency for the district, as well as the support experienced by district staff when researching reported issues.

Tomorrow, Friday, July 23rd will be the last day for MS summer weights and conditioning.
Just a reminder: This year's enrollment is on Monday, August 2 from 7:00 AM- 7:00 PM at the LHS. We ask that parents please complete the online registation in their IC Parent Portal prior to enrollment to make your enrollment goes as quickly as possible. As in the past, Park and Central will be the in the cafeteria, LMS will be in the library and LHS will be in the office. There will be a table set up for the school nurse and Migrant Coordinator in the hallway outside the main gym doors. There will be a set of computers in the cafeteria along with computers in the library for any parents who need to complete the Online Registration portion of enrollment.
LMS and LHS will be combining VB skills from 8:00 am - 10:00 am for the remainder of the week. LMS girls may lift at 7:00 am with the LHS girls if they would like to.
There will be no MS boys basketball skills Friday, July 9th. MS boys and girls weights will run as scheduled.
