There will be a HS Boys BB meeting at 5:30 pm Thursday, November 10th in the HS cafeteria.
Due to a scheduling conflict, LMS 7th grade basketball will not be attending the Pratt 7th grade tournament scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 12. Mr Scherer wants to recognize the following HS Band students for auditioning this past Saturday and making the South Central District Honor Band! Three of the five students we brought made it in with one selected as an alternate--this is the most we've had yet! Later in January, the three who earned a full chair will audition to try to earn a spot in the State Honor Band!

Lyons Middle School Principal Derek Carlson receives the El Potrillo Above and Beyond Award for October from LMS Counselor Christi Reid. During the month of October, Mr. Carlson not only continued creating the lesson plans for math while waiting on the new LMS 7th grade math teacher to finish student teaching in Nickerson, but also swept floors and dumped trash in the evenings because of a custodial opening. Thank you, Mr. Carlson for going Above and Beyond and congratulations!
