I was born and raised in Hutchinson, Ks and went to school and graduated from the Buhler School District. I then attended Hutchinson Community College for one year and moved on to Sterling College where I graduated with an Elementary and P.E. degree. My first job was in Liberal Ks, teaching 5th grade. 

I was there 2 years and then taught 5th grade at Allen Grade School in Hutchinson for 2 years. Since then I have been teaching Title One Math at Central Elementary for 15 years. In those 15 years, I have also coached many sports and been involved with Character Education activities. My wife's name is Wendy and we have 4 kids: Kylah, Kenan, Kinzie, and Kaz.
