LHS Senior Graduation Week Events
LHS is pleased that we will be able to hold in-person events for the graduating class of 2021. Please read the attached document.

Lyons Middle School physicals start tomorrow May, 4th at 8:30 a.m. with 6th grade, packets were mailed home last week. Please have your student(s) packet filled out and signed along with $20.00 in CASH brought to the office tomorrow morning.
7th grade physicals will be tomorrow, May 5th and 8th grade physicals are Thursday, May 6th. If you have any questions, please call the Middle School office at (620) 257-3961.

Hola everyone!!!
5 de Mayo (May 5th) is almost here and we (Lyons High School Spanish Club) want to celebrate it with all of you!
We are planning to set up tables in front of the High School main entrance and sell food to take away (or just sit and enjoy it with us) from 4 to 7 pm.
Tickets will be sold the same day, and the cost will be 10 $ each ticket ( 1 ticket = 1 plate + 1 drink.) There is going to be a variety of food you can choose from to put on your plate: Rice, Beans, Tortillas, Asado, Tamales, Frijoles charros, Ensalada, Empanadas, Pinchos de tortilla española, ...
We also will be playing games and have music.
Make sure that you and your family stop by and enjoy the day with us!

Softball - Salty Archer Field located just north of the high school football field/track.
SENIOR PARENT NIGHT: Senior parents will be recognized between games.
The following changes are being made to allow our middle and high school vocal and band groups to perform live during their scheduled concerts on May 6th and May 8th. Both concerts were originally scheduled to start at 7:00 with middle school performances. They will now both begin at 6:00. When the middle school is finished, the auditorium will be cleared out to prepare for high school. For the Instrumental Concert, the high school will then begin at 8:00. For the Variety Show, the high school will begin at 7:30. Each student will be allowed to have their parents and/or guardians attend in person. A video will be taken of each performance and posted on the school website and Facebook page so that all can enjoy. We appreciate your understanding as we try to accommodate our kids.
Los siguientes cambios se harán para permitir que nuestros grupos de banda y vocal de middle school y high school puedan presentar en vivo durante los conciertos del 6 y 8 de Mayo. Los conciertos estaban originalmente programados para comenzar a las 7:00 con las presentaciones de middle school. Ahora comienzan a las 6:00. State Treasurer’s Office Recognizing Teacher
Appreciation Week, May 3-7, with $10,000 Giveaway
Ten Kansas teachers have the opportunity to receive $1,000 each in celebration of National Teacher Appreciation Week, which is May 3-7, Kansas State Treasurer Lynn Rogers announced.
People are invited to nominate a Kansas teacher for the $1,000 award by using this online form. Nominations will be accepted until noon Friday, April 30. The State Treasurer’s Office will announce two winners each day beginning Monday, May 3. Winners will be selected at random. Entries are limited to one per person. Duplicate entries will be deleted. No taxpayer dollars are contributing to this award fund, the State Treasurer’s Office said.
The awards will be paid through the State Treasurer’s Office's partnership with Learning Quest 529 Savings Plans. Winners will have a choice to receive a scholarship or a contribution to a new or existing 529 Savings Plan.
