Dear Parents/Guardians:

After reviewing the gating criteria set by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and the Kansas State Department of Education, it has been determined that the COVID-19 related data in Rice County and USD 405 has improved enough to allow for full on-site instruction in our schools. Therefore, USD 405 will be returning to on-site learning beginning on Monday, September 28. That means five full days of class at the school buildings each week until we are forced to do something different.

We will let you know as soon as possible if the situation requires us to move back to hybrid learning or to remote learning. It is our intent to keep the learning model as consistent as possible, but that has to be balanced with keeping students and staff as healthy as possible so that schooling can continue.

Stay healthy,

Bill Day
