On Saturday,  April 1st, the LHS Powerlifting Team traveled to Solomon Jr/Sr. High School to compete at their Annual Powerlifting Meet. There were a total of 190 student-athletes representing 26 schools. As a team, LHS was represented by four student-athletes who placed 12 out of 26 for team results. Despite the inability to take the whole team due to prior commitments, we were once again able to have individual success competing. It always amazes me how much our student-athletes can succeed when given the right opportunities to compete.

Every student-athlete hit a personal PR in AT LEAST one individual lift once again. Please see the below individual who received medals for placing in the top three spots for their divisions:

Isaac Fall (2nd Place Clean & 2nd Place Overall in 123lb Division)

Bench 140lb (2nd Place Bench)
Squat 210lb (1st Place Squat)
Clean 145lb (2nd Place Clean)

Eli Martinez (3rd Place Bench, 3rd Place Squat & 3rd Place Overall in 242lb Division)

Bench 265lb (3rd Place Bench)
Squat 425lb (3rd Place Squat)
Clean 225lb (4th Place Clean)

Jorge Cereceres (2nd Place Bench & 4th Place Clean in 220lb Division)

Bench 240lb (2nd Place Bench)
Squat 0lb (Scratch)
Clean 225lb (4th Place Clean)

Lessigh Braxton (6th Place Bench, 5th Place Squat & 8th Place Clean)

Also, thank you to my honorary coach, Coach Nolan for always coming to support and coach our athletes as they compete.

As always as you see them throughout the halls or out in the community please praise them for their hard work thus far and their dedication to push their bodies to do immeasurably more within the weight room.

Thank you for all the support and donations to help fund some of our student athletes' meals and registration fees. I look forward to next year's team and trying to host our very own HOME Powerlifting Meet.
