Graduating with her EdS in 2011 from Fort Hays State University,
Katie came to Lyons in 2012 as a school psychologist to
serve Rice County Special Services Cooperative.
While serving as a school psychologist,
Katie completed her building and district level endorsements
to step into the Special Services Director position.
Katie took over as RCSSC Director in 2016 and continues in that position.
Katie lives in Lyons with her family, husband Jesse,
and children Zachary and Adelynn. Katie enjoys being outdoors,
time on the lake, and being with her family.
As the director of special services for Rice County Special Services,
Katie is the administrator of all special education teachers in
Rice County as well as specialists and paraeducators.
Rice County Special Services Cooperative serves children
identified as having a disability and in need of services including,
but not limited to, appropriate academic curriculum, speech language therapy,
occupational therapy, physical therapy, hearing and vision specialties,
and psychological services in a free public educational setting.
