LYONS MIDDLE SCHOOL TRACK READY TO RUN
What a great bunch of young ladies I have to work with. Through the first two weeks of practice, they have done everything and more we have asked them to do. We have 26 girls out this season. We have talent in all the areas we have worked with. We only have a couple of girls in both 7th and 8th grade to throw, but they will really score for us this season. On the track we will be strong both in the distances and sprints. I am not sure who will do what for us, but it will be exciting. We have not seen what or who will do the jumping for us, but I am sure they will do just fine.
We begin the season on the 5th of April at Smokey Valley, followed by Hesston on the 12th, then Sterling on the 23rd, then Lyons on the 26th, Ellsworth on May 1st and finally the league meet at Hillsboro on the 7th.
On the 26th we host the only meet we have for the season. We will need quite a bit on volunteer help from parents and patrons. Please contact Mr. Turner at 257-5114 to let him aware you would be willing to help.
I am looking forward to the rest of the season. It should be very successful.
