Fall Homecoming 2011

Congratulation to Allie Dwyer and Kregg Clarke, homecoming Queen and King! This was spirit week for Lyons High School in preparation for their homecoming game on Friday, September 23 against Smoky Valley.  The LHS Cheerleaders: Ariel Engelland, Cara Johnson, Amanda Lange, Abbie Miller, Nicole Meyer, Cheyenne Nave, Brooke Johnson & Kiana Stewart were there to cheer them on! Other activities this week included: JV Football at Haven, JV Tennis tournament at Lyons, Volleyball at Lyons,  Cross Country at Larned, and  Volleyball at Central Plains.  LHS students showed their support by participating in school daily activities. Monday was Pajama Day, followed by Tuesday-Color Day, Wednesday -Hair and Makeup Day, Thursday-Opposite Gender Day and Friday-Blue and White Day.

Other Homecoming Candidates and Attendants included:
Seniors:  Ariel Engelland,  Joyce Gonzalez, Nicole Meyer, Evan Barber, Michael Swalley, and Ryon Thurston.

Juniors: Audrey Pray, Brett Wilson

Sophomores:  Amanda Lange, Alan Pina

Freshmen: Abigail Miller, Jacob Buckman

Gates opened at 6:00 and crowning was at 6:30 with the game beginning at 7:00. The first 20 adults in the north gate wearing Lyons apparel will received a special prize of a Lyons Lions Booster Club t-shirt (various sizes) . If you were wearing Lyons apparel and one of the first 80 through the north gate you will receive a coupon for a free Route 44 drink from Sonic. Students must be accompanied by a paying adult to receive a coupon. A Homecoming dance began after the game at LHS. The dance was from 9:30 to 12:00.
