Shanelec places 9th at Nationals

Congratulations Alec Shanelec, he placed 9th in Expository speaking at the NFL National Tournament. Shanelec managed to navigate 7 grueling rounds to finally be eliminated in the semifinal round. This was a great final showing to finish out a successful high school career. Alec finished 24th on Lyons High School's all time leader board.on qualifying to the NFL national tournament held in Dallas. Alec won Dramatic Interpretation and placed 4th in Oration. This performance was good enough to qualify him to nationals in both events. Alec is also qualified for CFL nationals in Washington DC. This marks the 5th and 6th times that Shanelec has qualified for nationals in his high school career.
