Kansas Career Pipeline and USD 405 Provide Resources for Adults

Are you an adult out of work or looking to improve your career opportunities? Lyons High School Principal Gary Sechrist and counselor Gail McKenzie want you to be aware of an educational and self improvement opportunity through Kansas Career Pipeline.
On its own web site the Kansas Career Pipeline is described as "a free and easy-to-use Internet-based educational and career development tool that allows you to access the resources you need to prepare for a lifetime of success."
What may not be clear about this resource is that it is for students of all ages. In other words adults that are wanting to perhaps find a new or better career path.
According to Sechrist and McKenzie the program makes available tools that help identify individual strengths and can be a resource for adult learners. Anyone that needs help accessing the information about or made available by this program are encouraged to call the Lyons High School and ask for McKenzie.
Sechrist said that if enough response is generated then they might consider setting up an informational meeting or perhaps a small job fair. He went on to say that the program is funded by the Kansas Department of Education and business across the state.
Anyone with a computer and Internet access can log on to the web site at www.kansascareerpipeline.org and click on Individual Login. Sechrist said the USD 405 web site would also provide a link to the web site.
