Kindergarten students in Mrs. Hendricks’ class at Park Elementary have been learning all about penguins. Students practiced beginning addition problems using marshmallow ice cubes. The Lyons Roaring Booster Club will be having a pulled pork sandwich meal at the January 31 home basketball game. Cost of the meal is $5 for sandwich, chips, cookie and drink. Come support the Lyons basketball teams and enjoy a good meal. Starts at 4:30pm at the LHS cafeteria.
Preschool and New Kindergarten Enrollment for 2011 -2012 school year.
- Your child must be four years old by August 31st to be eligible to attend our preschool.
- Your child must be five years old by August 31st to be eligible to attend kindergarten.
- If your child is already in our preschool you do not have to attend a meeting or get another screening.
- Screening dates are scheduled throughout the year. Appointments are in the mornings only. For more information and to make an appointment please call David Vesper at the Frisbie Education Center, 257-5196 ext. 167.
Before school starts your child must have a physical from your doctor or KAN-Be Healthy check-up from the Health Department. Your child must be current with all immunizations. Official records will be requested at enrollment for the 2011-2012 school year.
