Welcome to 6th grade Language Arts, Enrichment and Keyboarding/Reading!
A Little About Me
This is my second year teaching 6th grade English at Lyons Middle School. Nine years ago I taught 8th grade science. As a USD 405 employee for more than 10 years I have held many positions, from Parents As Teachers Coordinator, Paraprofessional for Pre-school at Park, to Vocational Coordinator/MIS Data clerk at the district office. Mrs. Roth and I are team teaching the Keyboarding/Reading elective. I am very excited and happy to once again be in the classroom and especially here at Lyons Middle School.
Education
Sterling College is my Alma Mater having graduated in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and endorsements in English and Science.
Home and Family
I moved from the suburbs of Chicago to Lyons 26 years ago. My husband Kevin and I have 5 children. Brandon-23 lives in Virginia, Bethany-22 lives in Lawrence, Kaitlyn-13, Kari-11, and Jack-7 are the only children we have at home. We have 3 pets, two cats (Pumpkin and Patches), and 1 dog (Mookie). Many of our family members also live in Lyons.
