Matt Sandbo

5th Grade Teacher

Mr. Sandbo was born in Salina, Kansas and lived the first eighteen of his years in nearby Lindsborg. Lindsborg is best known for its nickname of “Little Sweden” and all of the Dala Horses that can be seen throughout town. His ancestors, however, came from the country of Norway which is a neighbor of Sweden. After graduating from Smoky Valley High School, he attended Hutchinson Community College and played quarterback for the Blue Dragons. He then moved to Manhattan and worked with the KSU football team as a Student Assistant while earning his B.S. in Education from Kansas State University. Mr. Sandbo and his wife, Laura, spent two years in Meade, KS before moving to Lyons. She is a Speech Pathologist at Park School. They have a nine month old daughter named Kyndall . In his spare time you will most likely find him on the golf course, skiing, playing cards or spending time with family and friends.
