Susan Tobias
SME Lab Coordinator
October 07, 2006
I grew up on a dairy farm
east of Lyons. When I was in 5th and 6th grade, I attended Central
School. After graduating from Lyons High School in 1977,
I married Curtis Tobias who farms near Lyons. Together we have
2 sons and a daughter. I was a stay at home mom until our youngest
child started school. Then, you might say, I went to school
too.In 1995 I accepted a position in the SME computer lab. I have always been interested in computers and this has been the perfect job for me. I enjoy seeing all the students each day and supervising them during SME time. We also work on other neat projects like Type To Learn, Internet or PowerPoint. In addition to my SME duties, I help take care of the other computers in our building. One of my favorite projects is working on Central's section of this Web site. Each day I learn something new and exciting. Although computers take up most of my day, it is not the only thing I like to do. I love to play golf, needlepoint and collect baskets, clocks and Christmas plates. Special times with my family include attending horse shows or going to Wilson Lake. |
