Karen Crow
Elementary Library Media Specialist
I was born in Canadian, Texas, and lived in a small town in Texas called Higgins with my parents and two older brothers. I graduated from West Texas State University, though now it is called West Texas A&M. My first teaching position was a fifth-grade classroom in Hereford, Texas. In 1979, my husband Allen and I moved to Kansas. Our son, Justin, and daughter, Allison, were born in the Lyons Hospital. While my children were small, I was a stay-at-home mom. Later, I taught preschool in Holyrood and did substitute teaching in Holyrood and Bushton for several years. My library classes were taken at Fort Hays State University where I received a master’s degree in 1998. I started this job as Elementary Library Media Specialist in January of 1995. For enjoyment, I read, walk, piece quilts, and watch educational television. My husband and I also like to visit Manhattan, Kansas, where our son and daughter attend K-State. |
