Nancy Allison
4th Grade Teacher
October 05, 2006
Our family moved to Lyons in the summer of 1997 from Abilene, Kansas. We had previously lived in Abilene for twenty years. I had served as a Speech/Language Pathologist in three schools there from 1977-1983, and Craig was a band director there for that entire time. I was fortunate enough to be able to stay home once we started our family. Craig and I have been married since 1976. He is a 1972 graduate of none other than Lyons High School and is now the band director for the Lyons district. We have three children and a son-in-law: Melissa, Melanie and husband, Karl, and Darren. Shelby is our lovable black lab mix! I am a 1971 graduate of Ellis High School and a graduate of Fort Hays State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 1975 and a Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology in 1976. After six years of being a Speech/Language Pathologist and fifteen years at home with our children, I was fortunate to join the staff at Central Elementary School as a fourth grade teacher. My hobbies include seeking new ideas and creating materials for teaching, attending activities of my children and husband, reading, and making Creative Memories scrapbooks and photo albums. |
